Please ensure your child falls within the specified age range for the class, as no exceptions can be made.

We love teaching children about food, reducing food waste, and respecting the ingredients we use. Tasting new foods and recipes is an important part of the cooking class experience. While we never expect children to finish something they don’t enjoy, we do ask that they come with an open mind and be willing to try new foods. We are unable to make menu substitutions, as preparing and tasting the featured meal is part of the class experience.

Good kitchen hygiene is an essential cooking skill. Please ensure your child’s hair is tied back and that their nails are short, clean, and free of nail polish. Throughout the class, we’ll also remind students about proper handwashing and avoiding touching their face, hair, or mouth while cooking.

We believe the kitchen should be a fun, welcoming place to learn! At the same time, our workshop is both a classroom and a working kitchen, so safety and respect are essential. We ask all participants to listen to the instructor, be aware of their surroundings, keep their hands to themselves, and treat both others and the kitchen with respect. We’ll reinforce these expectations throughout the class to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

Friends / siblings are welcome to register for classes together (registration is per child). To help everyone get the most out of the experience, we ask that students keep side conversations and whispering to a minimum while the instructor is teaching or demonstrating. There will be plenty of opportunities to chat while cooking together, but it’s important that everyone can hear instructions and stay focused for both learning and safety.

We do not send leftovers home due to our policies, however if the class description includes a "take home" we will package these for children to take home.
